MEDIDENT BAVARIA® – FAQ

If you like, we can give you some material from your NICO* and put it in a saline or alcohol solution. However, here in Europe we do not have the possibility to have the samples from DNA CONNEXIONS tested for pathogens such as Borrelia, Babesia, Bartonellia, etc., because the laboratory in the USA requires a frozen sample, which is not possible due to the distance. * The described topic or the mentioned procedure are subject of numerous studies, which support our view. However, we would like to point out that scientific proof of efficacy and official recognition are currently still pending.
In this case, it is always necessary to consult with the attending general practitioner.
Immediate placement of the implant directly after tooth extraction is possible in the vast majority of cases and is also what we strive for, as this is the ideal time for implant placement. However, it is ultimately the individual clinical situation after tooth removal that decides.
Betaisodona mouth rinse should be used for one week.
Yes, we work with an experienced anesthesiologist and can perform these treatments in our office by appointment.
In principle, yes, but we recommend this only in individual cases. At the time when another dentist begins to fabricate the final crowns on healed implants, he recognizes that the implants are perfectly osseointegrated. Otherwise, he would not be allowed to fabricate crowns on the implants. Thus, the dentist assumes the entire responsibility for the functioning of the implant + crown unit. However, if the crowns have tension or are too high, they can destroy or loosen the well-healed implants again. In this case, there will always be discussions about who is responsible for the failure, even if this is quite clearly regulated (see above). We therefore recommend that you also have the final crowns fabricated by MEDIDENT BAVARIA® Dr. Neubauer so that the entire responsibility is in one hand. If you wish to have the final crowns made by another dentist, he or she should at least have completed training according to THE SWISS BIOHEALTH CONCEPT.
After 3 to 6 months, the long-term temporaries are removed again by us and the teeth or implants are prepared again, i.e. the so-called "fine tuning" is carried out, in which the later crown margin is placed extremely precisely exactly at gum level or minimally below it. Then the impression is taken for the dental technician. For single posterior crowns, a digital impression is taken and the crown is fabricated immediately and placed the same day after a few hours. For large works or for crowns in the esthetic range, a conventional impression is taken and transferred to a plaster model. The master dental technician produces the crowns on this. These are viewed together with you before final cementation (try-in appointment) and modified again if necessary. Depending on the number of crowns, there is a period of 5 to 10 working days between the impression date and the cementation date.
Long-term temporaries are acrylic crowns fabricated in the practice on the same day, which are firmly cemented, stable and already look very real. These remain in the mouth for the period of healing of the implants and are exchanged for the final all-ceramic crowns after 3 to 24 months.
You will receive a temporary tooth-colored crown, at least in the esthetic (visible) area, to restore esthetics. It may vary individually depending on the implant position and surgical situation.
An implant is referred to as an immediate implant if a diseased tooth is extracted in the same session and immediately replaced by an implant at this site.
